Summary:
The story is based on the fifty-seventh chapter of “Journey to the West”, “True and Fake Monkey King”. It tells that Monkey King was imprisoned in a mysterious cave after being tricked by the Yellow Brows Demon. He lost all his mana and his golden cudgel. The Yellow Brows Demon built an unshakable and powerful army in this mysterious cave, imprisoning monsters from all walks of life, and with the help of the powerful general Bull Demon King, he set up a field of life and death, let the little monsters fight here, and those who die will take away their mana.
He took away Wukong’s spiritual power and poured it into the mud to create the Six-Eared Macaque, trying to replace the real Monkey King, and the cave became a cruel battlefield. The Six-Eared Macaque pretends to be a Huaguoshan monkey, and gets along with Monkey King day and night. Sun Wukong was oppressed in the cave and once fell into despair. He was used to fighting alone and was forced to join forces with the monsters to save himself. After repeated failures, he gradually realized the true meaning of the word “Great Sage”. In the end, Sun Wukong, whose heart of stone was taken away, was reborn from Nirvana, fought to the death with the Yellow Brows Demon, and led everyone to escape from the cave.
