Summary:
Tang Sanzang and his disciples were on their way to the West to seek Buddhist scriptures when Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie were out begging for food. Tang Sanzang and Sha Sanzang encountered the monster White Bone Demon. While fighting the White Bone Demon, they accidentally traveled to modern society. Sha Wujing was sent to a mental hospital as a mental patient, while the monk Tang was taken in by Xiao Yao. The monk Tang, who wanted to return to ancient times, was dragged by Xiao Yao to find the master for help.
After trying hard to escape from the mental hospital, the monk Sha met the robber Tang San who was wanted by the police. Since Tang San looked exactly like the monk Tang Sanzang, the monk Sha mistakenly thought that he was the master Tang Sanzang and followed Tang San. One day, the monk Tang found the disciple Sha who was wanted by the police.
At the same time, the master told Tang San that only the jade pendant could allow him to return to ancient times. In order to get the jade pendant, Tang San kidnapped Xiao Yao and Sha Seng and used it as a threat. In the end, in order to save Xiao Yao, Tang Sanzang stayed in the modern world, and Tang San traveled back to ancient times.
