Summary:
The story of the eminent monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty on his journey to the west. During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, 28-year-old Xuanzang set out from Chang'an and traveled westward, leaving Yumen Pass in the west and arriving at Mohe Yanqi in order to seek the truth of his faith. In the eight hundred miles of Mohe Yanqiu, there are no birds above, no animals below, the wind and sand block out the sun, and only dead bones show the way. Xuanzang accidentally lost his drink of water on the way. Xuanzang did not drink any water for four days and five nights. However, with extremely tenacious will, he overcame his inner fear, surpassed the limits of his body, and finally walked out of Mohe Yanqi.
