Summary:

The two spiritual monkeys in Huaguo Mountain are like brothers. Liuer meets Long Ruyi the Dragon Princess by chance and gets a string of Buddhist beads from her. Afterwards, Luier and Shihou traveled long distances in order to find a way to protect their home Huaguo Mountain, and finally came to the Sky Pillar. When they accidentally fell, they were rescued by Long Ruyi. Long Ruyi mistook Shihuo for Luier, and fell in love. The jealous Liuer was lured by the Snake Demon, and killed their mentor the Old Monkey, and the brothers turned against each other. In the melee, Snake Demon sacrificed her life to save Liuer.

The heavenly court punished those who did not abide by the rules of heaven, and the little dragon princess who disturbed the order turned it into the magic needle of Dinghai. Shihou had his memories erased under the instruction of Gaunyin and protected Tang Monk from the west to learn scriptures.
