Summary:
It was originally not allowed for a god to fall in love with a mortal. However, San ShengMu (voiced by Xu Fan) in Heaven insists on falling in love with Liu Yanchang, a scholar in the world. Regardless of the objection of Erlang Shen (voiced by Jiang Wen), San ShengMu brought an artifact, the Lotus Lantern, to the mortal world in private with Liu Yanchang for life and gave birth to a son named Chenxiang. Seven years of peace and happiness passed quickly. One day Erlang Shen suddenly came down to earth and threatened the San Shengmu with a small aloe to hand over the Lotus Lantern and was crushed by him under Mount Hua. A beautiful family is also shattered. Chenxiang knew her life experience from the God of the Land, Tudi, and in order to recapture the Lotus Lantern and rescue her mother, he embarked on an arduous journey to find his mother. Years of training made Chenxiang grow into a brave young man, and under the guidance of Sun Wukong (voiced by Chen Peisi), he obtained a magic axe. In the end, the Lotus Lantern and Chenxiang merged into one, defeated Erlang Shen, split Mount Hua, and rescued his mother.
