Summary:

As the Sun threatens to explode and end all life on Earth, Goku wakes up and goes on a Journey to the West, in quest of meaning, guidance and wisdom. His adventures will make him face the most dangerous opponents and will decide the fate of humanity.

Animation writer Mizue Mitsukoshi has released a new visual for her self-written and self-directed feature-length animated film, *Mizue's Journey to the West* (tentative title). The script will begin development this fall, and test footage will be produced. The film is produced by NEW DEER, founded by Nobuaki Doi. It was selected for the Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs' 2018 Media Arts Creator Training and Support Program and a pilot episode was co-produced with the French studio MIYU PRODUCTION.
