Summary:

The characters in the story of Journey to the West include Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Monk Sha, and the White Dragon Horse. Sun Wukong was born from a fairy stone. He sailed across the sea to learn from his master. He learned the way to immortality, seventy-two transformations, and somersault cloud from Bodhi Patriarch. He also went to the Dragon Palace in the East China Sea to obtain a handy weapon. Later, he was suppressed under the Five Finger Mountain by Tathagata because of his havoc in the Heavenly Palace. Tang Monk passed by this place on his way to the West to obtain scriptures. He was enlightened by Guanyin and followed the West to obtain scriptures. He subdued demons and monsters along the way. After going through 81 difficulties, he finally achieved the right result and was named Fighting Buddha.
