Summary:
The Warriors Orochi series is a sub-branch of Koei’s larger Musou franchise. It is a series that serves as a crossover that unites the casts of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series in entirely original scenarios. The primary antagonist of the series is Orochi, a demonic being that uses his powers to pull Three Kingdoms-era China and Warring States-era Japan together into one realm so that he may do battle with the greatest warriors of both ages. In Warriors Orochi 3, the crossover concept has been expanded to include figures from outside the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series, and is set to include figures from games such as Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War, and Warriors: Legends of Troy.
The evil Orochi warps time and space, pulling the greatest warriors of Three Kingdoms China and Warring States Japan to battle for his amusement. This crossover game features most of the playable characters from Dynasty Warriors 1-5 and Samurai Warriors 1 & 2. Warriors Orochi is a hack and slash video game developed by Koei and Omega Force. It is a crossover of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. The game was released in Japan on March 21, 2007 and the following September in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. In the game’s story mode there are four different storylines: Wei, Wu, Shu and the Samurai Warriors storyline. The player can play as any of the 77 characters from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. Gameplay is focused around a Team Battle System introduced in the game that allows the player to go into battle with a team of three characters. At any time, one warrior will be fighting while the other two are resting, restoring their health and Musou. The player can switch out the active character for a reserve at the press of a button. The game also introduced a new Weapon Fusion system, allowing the player to combine attributes from different weapons to make a single, more powerful weapon. There is also a Free Mode, allowing the player to play any previously cleared scenario with teams comprised of any characters that have been unlocked.

Summary:
Like its predecessor, this is a multiplayer-based game drawing from the Dynasty Warriors series, with significant changes to "musou awakening" or fury modes, and aerial combat. Rather than following the battles between the three nations of Shu, Wu, and Wei, the story of this version revolves around the resurrection of the first Qin emperor.
Like Strikeforce Special, officer cards can be applied to city and fields for player benefit, as well as the ability to bring AI officers as help in single player. Players can now create quests, this and general participation with other players creates "community points", leading to acquisition of rare items.
