Gokuu Densetsu: Magical Beast Warriors (the first sub-title loosely translated to “Legend of Gokuu”) is a 2D historical-fantasy fighting game developed and published by Allumer for the Sony PlayStation exclusively in Japan on May 26, 1995.

Loosely based on the 16th century Chinese novel Journey to the West, the game shares many similarities with the Kaneko arcade fighting games Shogun Warriors and Blood Warrior (as some of this game’s team developed both games), including its fast-paced gameplay style and use of digitized actors.
