Summary:

Written by the genius Ni Kuang, the plot of Red Boy fighting Sun Wukong in “Journey to the West” is brought to life on the screen. Director Chang Cheh’s approach to handling literary masterpieces is quite sophisticated. He not only retains the essence of the original work, but also carefully arranges each martial arts scene. The story tells the story of the Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan, who ordered their son Red Boy (Ding Huachong) to deal with Sun Wukong (Liu Zhongqun) and his disciples in order to eat Tang Monk’s meat. Red Boy repeatedly defeated Wukong with the “Samadhi True Fire”. Fortunately, Guanyin ordered Dragon Girl (Zhang Chuanli) to assist Wukong in rescuing Tang Monk and others. Red Boy was also enlightened and accepted as a talented boy beside Guanyin. This film promotes the principle of repentance and is thought-provoking.
