“Lotus Cave” tells about the Golden Horn King who was originally the boy who watched the Golden Stove from Taishang Laojun, and the Silver Horn King who was the boy who watched the Silver Stove. In order to test Tang Seng’s determination to learn Buddhist scriptures from the west, the Bodhisattva borrowed two children of Gold and Silver Horns from the Taishang Laojun and turned them into monsters to sharpen Tang Seng’s determination to learn Buddhist scriptures. The weapons used by the two kings, Golden Horn and Silver Horn, are all seven-star swords, and there are several treasures such as red gourd, jade bottle, plantain fan, and golden rope. Later, Sun Wukong used his brains to defeat the gold and silver monsters with a strategy, confiscated five treasures, and returned them to the Taishang Laojun, defeating a disaster on the westward journey.
