Summary:
It is said that the great monk Tang Sanzang (Eri Fukatsu) went to the West to seek the Great Tibetan Sutra under the protection of his three disciples Sun Wukong (Shingo Katori), Zhu Bajie (Atsushi Ito), and Sha Wujing (Mitsuyoshi Uchimura). The four masters and apprentices traveled through mountains and rivers, experienced countless hardships, and arrived at the desert country of Hucheng one day. Unfortunately, this country was previously occupied by two monsters, Jinjiao (Jiuji Kaga) and Yinjiao (Goro Kishitani), who turned the king (Koki Mitani) and the princess into turtles and took away the forests and water sources in the country. The surviving princess Reimi (Mikako Tabe) asked Tang Sanzang and his apprentices to drive away Jinjiao and Yinjiao. Taking this as an opportunity, a new adventure is about to begin, and the Monkey King Sun Wukong is about to show his power again... This film is adapted from "Journey to the West", one of the four great classical Chinese novels.
