Summary:
"The Last Scripture," based on "Journey to the West," tells the story of a sequel to the Journey to the West.
The last scripture, said to hold the key to unlocking the remaining thirty-four scriptures, was lost in the Tongtian River by Tang Sanzang and his four disciples upon their quest, and its whereabouts remain unknown. Finding it will grant access to magical powers possessed only by gods.
The last scripture, the ultimate desire of every human. But those who seek it are the most unreliable of individuals!
Sun Dawu, the Monkey King, always believed he could achieve great things, but in reality he was a troubled teenager with high aspirations but poor skills. This troublemaker turned the Flower-Fruit Mountain, now a tourist attraction, upside down. After paying a heavy price, he finally obtained what he desired: the Ruyi Jingu Bang left behind by Sun Wukong. To his surprise, the golden cudgel, along with the cudgel, was also bound tightly together, binding his fate with that of the young monk Tang Sanbao.
Tang Sanbao had never intended to pursue the Scripture. He's just a tearful, kind-hearted little monk who lives a simple life, occasionally using his special abilities to heal small animals. However, by some strange twist of fate, the quest for the Buddhist scriptures, a seemingly hopeless endeavor, falls to him!
Thus, Monkey King Sun and Tang Sanbao, a pair with no chemistry, bewildered and reluctant, embark on a journey together. Though Monkey King Sun meticulously attempts to shed his forced "master," Tang Sanbao, a series of unexpected events finally lead him to realize that fate has destined him to be bound by Tang Sanbao's shackles in order to achieve his goal.
Do you think this is the worst possible pilgrimage? No, no, no! Later, this small group will also be joined by Zhu Bajie's fanboy Sun Zi, the rebellious teenager Zhu Nuonuo, the Sand Demon, considered a lifeline by everyone due to his martial arts prowess, and the knitting-loving White Dragon Horse, Xiao Tiantian… Oh my god, they've turned what should have been an epic quest into a complete mess!
