China Gate, known in Japan as Saiyūgōmaroku: Ryūbōyouginoshou (loosely translated to "Record of the Demonic Westward Trip: Magical Techniques of the Fighting Stick") or "Sai Yu Gou Ma Roku", is a historical-fantasy beat-'em-up platformer developed by Technōs Japan and released for arcades in 1988, with the Japanese version released by Technōs Japan and the North American version released by Romstar (under license from Taito America).
Loosely based on the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West, China Gate puts players in control of one of three disciples of the monk Sanzō (monkey king Gocoo, pig man Hakai, and kappa Gojoe) as they fight various demons in order to recover stolen sūtras.
